Textures Galore

One of the best things about fall and winter fashion is the huge variety of textures available.  Texture is an often-ignored aspect of an outfit.  It's easy to overlook, but it's just as easy to add it in.  And as always, we've got you covered!

The textures in this outfit are subtle but beautiful.  The top is satiny and it goes great with these pants that have an unexpected velvety texture.

Top: $58
Pants: $186
Necklace: $40
Purse:$138

This top initially looks like a simple tee with some contrast trim.  Take a closer look and you'll see that the contrast trim is actually brown suede--a lovely and unexpected twist to an otherwise simple top.

Top: $38
Pants: $158
Necklace: $54
Purse: $128

A dark pencil skirt is a must in every closet.  The subtle print and weave of this one take it to the next level.

Top: $78
Skirt: $88
Belt: $12
Scarf: $38
Purse: $108

Here is another example of great textural difference within one piece.  The contrast print on the sleeves and pocket are made from sequins.  A little sparkle never hurt anyone!

Top: $38
Pants: $38
Scarf: $38

Knitted pieces bring a great deal of subtle texture to an outfit, depending on the size of the knit.  This cardigan is a finer knit, but it still adds great contrast with the denim and leather pieces.

Top: $68
Sweater: $38
Jeans: $128
Necklace: $78
Purse: $138

This sweater dress looks great with a chunky knit scarf on top.  Both are knit, but with vastly different textures.

Dress: $118
Scarf: $22
Purse: $128

Besides the great texture in this pullover layered over a flowy jersey top, this diaper bag from Petunia Picklebottom features a beautiful embossed design.  Its beautiful neutral gray will go with any outfit, but the texture takes it from being a solely functional piece to being a piece with great visual interest.

Top: $48
Sweater: $88
Jeans: $189
Bag: $210

So whether you're more into satin or chunky knits are your vibe, we've got something you'll love!
