you can do it!

Do it yourself projects may seem daunting at times, depending on what they are. But trust me, the fun way way overpowers the difficulty almost 100% of the time!

Check out one of our most recent Soel DIY projects for the window displays.

Materials needed: crepe paper, scissors, tape, string.

Follow these steps to complete the look for your own home, party, wedding, or event :) ...

1:  Cut the roll of crepe paper in half (you may need a box cutter for this)
2: Take the roll of crepe paper and with another person’s help, have each person stand at an end and pull until most of the stretch from the paper has been removed. (To speed up the process you can do these two at a time.)
3: Fold the paper together.
4:  Begin cutting fringe halfway through the fold, leaving some space in the middle.
5: Turn the fold over and finish cutting the opposite side of fringe. Be sure to not cut all the way through.
6: Hang one side from string to either a rod or just the ceiling and let the other side fall to the ground. Twist the bottom to create twists in the crepe paper.
7: Enjoy!

We are completely in love with how it turned out. It is the perfect way to spruce up a room without going in too far over your head in an already probably busy life. It is a fun way to show your creativity & you can make these while you watch your favorite show on tv, while your kids play in the backyard, or when your littles are down for their nap.

Author Anne Morrow Lindbergh was so wise when she offered these words: “[Even just] arranging a bowl of flowers in the morning can give a sense of quiet in a crowded day- like writing a poem or saying a prayer.”

We need time to ourselves each day to express creativity & let our souls refresh. So try it out & let me know what you think :)

Happy crafting you lovely readers!
