Leopard, birds, horses.

Stripes of all shapes and sizes are sticking around for sure and I am so glad. My closet full of striped tops can make you dizzy if you stare at it too long, but all of these animal prints have me getting wild with my wardrobe. Unique prints are showing up on everything; tops, denim, shoes, bags, belts, and hair bows.

I am a bit of a plain Jane but I burst out of my comfort zone when I purchased a leopard print cardigan at a thrift store. I was pleasantly surprised when I put it on with a white tee and my favorite black Hudsons (the Nico style.) I didn't feel like I was trying too hard, which is what I feared, but I was feeling something. Confidence and excitement.

A $2 cardigan made me realize that prints are for everyone, even me. It took some time to learn how to wear them right for me to feel comfortable though. I like to wear a print with a clean basic jean and tone it down with a solid cardigan or tee then I am set. I know it's cliche, but really, if I can do it so can you.

Next time you are at Soel, come join me on the wild side---try on something out of your comfort zone. I dare you. :)

Here are some of my favorites right now....

Free People feather print jeans.

Printed with birds on a wire. SO pretty.

Goodbye for now,
Rachael
